Paper Straws are for the birds

Dinner at Ted's...

The meal ...excellent...
The price ...ridiculous
The paper straw ....absolutely disgusting.

Long story short...Ted's in an attempt to be environmentally friendly is using paper straws (I guess killing tress is more environmentally friendly than burying plastic). There is no doubt the paper straws will decompose quicker than the plastic ones. As a matter of fact they will decompose right into your drink. At first you notice bits of paper going down your throat. If you mistake it for pieces of lemon and continue drinking the straw will eventually become so decomposed that it becomes completely useless. So, if you go to Ted's...bring your wallet...and your own straw.
